- West Island Line
- 3km extension of Island Line from Sheung Wan to Kennedy Town
- Cut and cover method
- Sai Ying Pun Station opens on 29th March
- Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link
- 26km high speed rail link to connecting Hong Kong to National high speed railway network, with major terminus in West Kowloon
- Enhance Hong Kong’s role as the southern gateway to the mainland
- Construction started in Jan 2010, with target opening by end of 2017
- Kwun Tong Line Extension
- 3km extension of Kwun Tong Line from Yau Ma Tei to Whampoa in Kowloon City District
- Shatin to Central Link
- 17km extension being constructed in two phases, comprising an east-west section from Tai Wai to Hung Hom and a north-south cross harbour section from Hung Hom to Admiralty
- South Island Line (East)
- 7km new line from Admiralty to South horizons in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island

- Sha Tin to Central Link - Hin Keng Station, Kai Tak Station, To Kwa Wan Station, Ma Tau Wai Station, Ho Man Tin Station, Exhibition Station
- South Island Line (East) - South Horizons station, Lei Tung Station, Wong Chuk Hang Station, Ocean Park Station.
